RoBovines Youth Robotics Clubs

Learn more below about our youth robotics clubs! We are a team of experienced volunteer adult and teen robotics “experts” looking to spread our love for STEM and robotics! We have been running these clubs in some shape or form for over 10 years with great success, and are always excited for every meeting. To learn more about who we are, visit our About Us page!

We want to see everyone who has an interest in robotics succeed, so we try to keep the price as low as possible while still being able to keep up with changing technology. If you have any concerns about cost, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

About Parent Participation

Parent participation in RoBovines Youth Robotics programs is required. RoBovines volunteer instructors lead lessons and are available to assist youth with questions regarding their robots and programming. However, given the high ratio of participants to instructors, it is not feasible for our team to provide individualized attention to every child throughout each session. Youth whose parents are present and actively involved consistently demonstrate greater engagement and get more out of the program experience.

LEGO Robotics Explore

Ages 5-6
Our program for 7-year-old kids. This group is based off of FLL Explore and uses LEGO Spike Essential kits to learn to work as a team, complete tasks, and learn basic coding.

Meets once per month at the 4H Training Center 6:30-7:30pm. Cost- $75

LEGO Robotics Challenge

Ages 8-13
Our oldest FLL program for kids aged 8-13. This group is based off of FLL Challenge and uses LEGO Spike Prime robots to learn how to work as a team, complete missions, and learn Scratch programming. This is a great starting point to move into a competitive team!

Meets twice per month at the 4H Training Center 6:30-8:00pm. Cost- $150

FIRST LEGO League (FLL)

Ages 8-14
Interested in something more challenging than our other programs? We have 3 competitive LEGO robotics teams! The teams meet weekly and work to design and program a robot to compete at local robotics competitions! They also design and submit a challenge based on that year’s theme. *Due to limited space on these teams, we cannot offer instant registration. Please fill out our interest form, and we will get back to you soon!

Meets once per week at the 4H Training Center. Cost- $200

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)

Ages 13-18
We are recruiting youth to join one of our FIRST Tech Challenge Teams! FTC goes beyond LEGOs, building larger robots made of metal and wood. These teams also work on building youth’s skills such as presentation skills, documentation skills, and more! These teams meet much more often and are more involved than our other programs. Please fill out our interest form, and we will contact you with more information.

Summer Programs

STEM Week

STEM Week is our 1-week drop-off program for kids aged 8-14! Youth will learn how to build and program a robot and complete other age-based activities! We have run STEM Week for 2 successful years and are excited for the 3rd!
