Maker Space

4-H has built a new large STEM building on their grounds. We will be moving our meeting space to the new building, leaving our old space available to be re-purposed.
Our plan is to work on changing the space over to a “maker space” for our team and the community to use.

What is a Maker Space?

A makerspace is a collaborative workspace inside a school, library or separate public/private facility for making, learning, exploring and sharing that uses high tech to no tech tools. A makerspace is intended to allow community members to experience technology or activities that they previously were not able to access. Many maker spaces include technology like 3D printers, sewing machines, soldering irons, coding, robotics, and wood carving machines.

Below is a list of some of the equipment we are looking to add to our maker space:

  • Milling Machine
  • CNC laser cutter/engraver
  • 3D printer
  • Cordless and corded power tools
  • Various non-powered tools
